I have been trying very hard to raise awareness about my cause, and I figured this couldn't hurt. I am doing something really crazy. Never having run more than 3 miles at a time in my life, I signed up for the NYC Marathon (26.2 miles). I have to raise $3000 for Fred's Team, a team that raises money for Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to help fund research on children's cancers. So far, I have $200. I am terrified that I won't be able to raise enough money in time. So, I am reaching out you, people of the blogosphere, for help.
